Join us on our Grapevine excursion as we walk into the past via the bustle sidewalks of downtown. Learn about Grapevine’s role in the early days of the republic while pondering the railroads used to transport travelers across the vast expanse of Texas. Pick up a glass of local Viognier and learn how Grapevine is Aged to Perfection.
About: Grapevine TOUR
Founded in 1844, Grapevine is the oldest community in Tarrant County. If trains, cowboys, and incredible wine are your thing, this is the perfect excursion for you. Would-be robbers, serious bandits (remember Bonnie and Clyde), and the Cotton Belt Railroad shaped the Texan town's unique history and paved the way for todays' vibrant Township with its rich array of art galleries, shops, wineries, and restaurants.
During the tour, we will visit a couple of Grapevine’s most-acclaimed wineries, each with its unique history and charm, while your tour guide chronicles the town's picturesque and rich past. Lunch/Diner is optional.

Grapevine Vintage Railroad
From cantaloupe to cotton, Grapevine has shipped it all via the railroads that crisscross the southern edge of downtown.

Grapevine Glockenspiel Clock Tower
The centerpiece of Grapevine's township is the glockenspiel clock tower located at the northwest corner of Hudgins and Main, the building also serves as Convention & Visitors Bureau Headquarters. Each day when the clock strikes 12, 3, 6, and 9 p.m., two would-be train robbers come to life to plot the perfect heist 75 feet above the ground.

Grapevine Main Street
Located in the heart of Historic Downtown Grapevine, the beautifully restored art deco-style Palace Arts Center. Built around 1940, the building was acquired in the early 90s by the Grapevine Heritage Foundation to preserve it from ultimate demolition. Today the structure serves as home to the home to the Palace Theatre and the Lancaster Theatre.

We usually end our excursion at the legendary Messina Hof winery. Located in the replica of the Wallis Hotel in Historic Downtown Grapevine the winery offers a charming 19th-century environment. Messina Hof Winery is one of the most highly regarded and awarded Texas wineries, a family-owned business that has been crafting Texas wines for over 40 years. Featuring more than 50 wines from 28 different varietals there is something for everyone.
